MENIKIO is a pioneering and fully verticalized dairy cooperative based in Prosotsani, Drama, that specializes in the production of high quality organic dairy and cheese products. Role in the project:
MENIKIO hosts the Greek demonstrator, focusing on enhancing heat stress resilience in an organic, semi-intensive dairy sheep farm. The company provides a real-world setting for testing genetic and nutritional solutions specifically within an organic production system. Its role involves active participation in the Future Farming Design Studios (FFDSs) , collecting on-farm data , and conducting small-scale in vivo testing of nutritional solutions. Additionally, MENIKIO contributes to the co-creation of inclusive solutions and the identification of gender-specific barriers to innovation adoption.
